PAST AND FUTURE ARE ONLY THE REFLECTIONS OF THE NOW

All that you would ever want is available to you right now. For these words to bear any more significance than the mumblings of a drunkard in the night, we need to step out of our delusional state of mind and wake up. Most of us believe that life is about accomplishing something--tomorrow. We are convinced that the human experience is a journey to a certain goal: possibly love, wealth, health, or enlightenment. This widely accepted, but highly erroneous, belief structure is the cause of much unnecessary suffering.

The Divine purpose of the human journey is not to get to a certain destination; the sole purpose is the journey itself: a journey that takes place in the now--exclusively in the now. It is much like an exotic vacation to a lush subtropical island. You didn't book the vacation to return home. That would be silly. I'm sure, your intention is to enjoy each and every moment of your stay.

"But," you may respond, "my life doesn't feel like a vacation at all, it's more like a rollercoaster." Yes indeed, life may feel that way, but realize that no one told you to get on. You bought the ticket. So why not relinquish your resistance, let go, and enjoy the ride. Start paying attention to what is happening right this very moment and "take it all in." You'll love it. Life is awesome!

Realize that you are a spiritual being. You are whole and complete as you are, right now. Happiness and enlightenment is a "from-the-inside-out-deal." As long as you are aware that you are Spirit, you can relish in eternal love and wisdom. The physical world is not designed to provide that for you. Why would it? You already have it, or actually, you are it. The reality that surrounds you is like paint for an artist. The paint doesn't create happiness, nor does the canvas. It's the process of creating that is enjoyable.

Living in the now is the portal to a joyful and meaningful existence. Certainly, we can make plans for the future, but we need to experience the now. And when we do, we access timelessness. Past and future are only reflections of the now, and only occur in our mind. Only the now is real. Only in the now will we align with our true essence and purpose.

Do you hear the hum of consciousness?

Sweet Spirits,

Stillness is the beacon that calls me home. It is the warm embrace of the eternal beloved, who whispers delicate inaudible vibrations in my ear; vibrations that resonate with all the sounds in the Universe. It is the hum of consciousness; it's the jingle of being One with All.

Stillness in this context doesn't necessarily refer to the absence of noise; it refers to the absence of thought. It is in that state of mind when I experience nirvana: a sense of profound joy and peace. Most of the time, it is brief. It is like a gasp of fresh air before going under again in the murky waters of a mental rampage. These brief moments of quietude keep me sane though, they keep me focused. And hooray, I'm learning to come up for "air" more and more frequently and indulge in moments of stillness. Sometimes, I jump into that space between my thoughts and float away in sheer ecstasy.

This practice has offered me something remarkable. Even when my human experience is challenged by a thick drama-soup, I remain aware of another reality that surrounds the craziness. I sense a glorious stillness cuddling each and every moment. I may not be able to fully access stillness in that specific instant, but I continue to be aware. Consequently, the drama, which my unaware ego is tempted to respond to, doesn't take over. I continue to "see" my life from a place of stillness. I simultaneously "play my part" ... and observe.

We are the outer perimeter of God

Dear Ones,

Last week, someone asked me what The InnerGuidance Network was. Well ...

The InnerGuidance Network is a network of mindful leaders: people from all walks of life and spiritual traditions, who believe (or know, or who would like to explore) that they are spiritual beings having human experiences. The members aim to live from that awareness--moment by moment. All is Spirit and All is Well.

However, the human brain has difficulties grasping this awesome reality and has the tendency to identify itself with a very fragile and meager representation of who we truly are. We tend to live from a delusional state of mind. Instead of Oneness. we experience duality and separation. Instead of bliss, we experience fear. We need to wake up and realize that we are Spirit, and that life has a spiritual purpose. As non-physical beings, we have "merged" with this seemingly physical world, which can better be described as a "state of mind." We did this to redefine and manifest consciousness in all its Divine facets. We are the outer perimeter of an ever expanding and rejuvenating God-energy.

The trick to experiencing a magnificent life is to live life to the fullest and simultaneously observe yourself from a non-physical perspective. It's key to integrate this awareness into a state of conscious "being." From this awakened state, we become powerful creators, able to direct life gracefully and effortlessly. Life will become delicious!

The Network offers an ongoing dialogue and support system to raise our vibrational energy and reach enlightenment now, and now, and now. We ascend from the experience of senseless drama and become powerful creators: able to create a joyful and meaningful existence that is aligned with our purpose. We become true leaders: radiant examples for others to follow.

The Network doesn't have a sacred building or sacred text. YOU are sacred and your neighbor is sacred, and your spouse is sacred. Even your "enemy" is sacred. All is sacred. All is Spirit and All is Well. The Network is not another religion or formal organization. Even the twelve Spirits Onymous principles are merely stepping stones for the human mind to get a sense of what life is truly all about. The ultimate truth cannot be explained-only experienced. The twelve principles guide us to that experience and is found within you, within me, and within all human beings. Humanity is awakening.

We are journeying into a new era, and our minds are working hard to develop frameworks to relate to this amazing awareness. This new "language" is not rooted in the mind, nor can we rely on our five senses. This "new" dimension can only be sensed by our soul; our essence. More and more people get glimpses of this reality and start to differentiate emotion from "Divine sense," or a state of "being." It is important that we not try to capture this new awareness with old and limiting mind structures, rather let "it" capture us. Let's be still and be open to the experience. Mankind is on the verge of wandering into a new developmental era.
